2B or not 2B - The Shakespeare Jamboree

Pumpkin Pie Productions, working together with the British Council, put together a feast of Shakespeare on the 3rd of October 2009. The show, entitled 2B or not 2B - The Shakespeare Jamboree, brought together 18 schools from all over Zimbabwe to perform in a makeshift Globe style theatre in the the grounds of the National Ballet, Harare.

Each of the 18 schools won a place in the production through an audition process in July 2009 and performed an excerpt from one of 7 of Shakespeare's plays to prepare for a public performance in Harare. The excerpts were directed, produced and designed by students from the chosen schools.

Excerpts were chosen from Macbeth, Twelfth Night, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Julius Caesar, Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet.
